That's right! she got a MAJOR makeover! As you can see, she's no longer blue and yellow, but instead a rustic auburn-like color. I like this better. Suits her personality more. As you can see, I figured out that I can make an Oomaka'wari that isn't your standard appearance. I experimented :D and I liked the outcome.

Those feathers are attached to wires pierced into her elbows, and flow with her movement, if not bounce a little in the wind. she's got no tail-decoration. She's got a nose-ring / piercing, and also has three piercings on her neck, around her spine, these were given to her as gifts / rewards for her prowess in hunting, and her contributions to her pack. The feathers on her wires can be changed out with other feathers or baubles, though Bahn prefers feathers. She can be seen with a variety of fancy, exotic feathers connected to the golden bits on the end of the wires.

She's not a normal Oomaka'wari, either, she's a Seng Oomaka'wari, an Oomaka'wari species variant recently shown by :iconr-l-marstall:, the creator of these lovely beasts :heart: Yes, her eyes are two different colors, this was a defect in her genes. It does not impair her sight at all. Just call it "odd-eyes". :)

Also, she's got a little thing on her left wrist that looks like bandages, with three colored things attached. Those are in fact bandages, stained with her blood, with little chains on them with three different colored feathers, one per chain. The bandages cover scars on her arm, where she sacrifices some of her blood occasionally (this is because her blood is close to being red, which in the Seng Ooma, Red blood is rare, and to prevent herself being an unwilling sacrifice, she gives up some of her blood to please her superiors, and the gods of her tribe. Since her blood is not a true red, however, she is allowed to live. She's a fighter, but she still pays her dues and respects. The reason she's so vicious is because of that need to survive - she thinks if she shows she's strong enough to hold her own, that she'll have a fighting chance of staying alive.


I'll be working on Kelmain's sheet sometime soon, but I think I'm going to wait for Rai to post up more species-variants :P

I love this 8D you did a pretty awesome job of redesigning her :3

I love the idea of the feathers bouncing and stuff when she walks 8D that's totally cool :3

and I almost feel horrible for saying this, but :C she's REALLY close to being a red color, so when you draw her try to make the orange more orangy, and maybe make the dark spots darker and closer to brown, because on my ref, i hope you read what happens to the reds >.>

but yeah this is awesome :3

I realize what happens to reds.....in my comments I answered that >xD

But I guess I should've gone more in depth - Because her attitude is why she -doesn't- get sacrificed because of the closeness of her blood. She's a fighter, but she still pays her dues and respects. But, in the end she might get sacrificed - It might be a mini-comic or a short-story to write....Gah, now I'm thinking of that >xD

OH OKIES yeah I was gonna add that maybe she could be special or something XDD

and actually, I just made a new Ooma character, called Natoka, and she's a white. AND I was thinking of making a mini comic about her 8D

oh, it's fine! :heart: I came prepared to explain! I kind of figured it would've been questioned. >.>

And really? gah! that makes me want to write a story even more >xD With your permission, of course, and... once you get her Ref up, it'd be really neat to have a few short chapters describing Bahnkoma's youngster life, how she met Kelmain (once he's designed >.> ), her life with Kelmain, and then near the end, trying to fight for her life against her tribe, and ends up sacrificed by your white one. >.> *coughs* uhh....my mind runs wild sometimes ^.^

and yus :3 HOOHOO that'd be cool 8D

except aw that's sad :C but if that'd be cool with you I think it'd make a kick-butt story 8DD

and GOSH that's sortof along the lines of that I was going to do, except not about Bahnkoma XD I was sorta going to make a comic about Natoka and have her come into it later 8DD

HOOHOO IT'D BE AWESOME TO HAVE BOTH SIDES OF THE STORY TOLD :iconimhappyplz:

I'm actually drawing a picture now - or starting it as I'm trying out Photoshop cs3 (my paint tool Sai trial is out in 4 days, so I need something else, and I found that, so bleh. My dad is trying to find the photoshop he has somewhere in his house, though X.X ), and the picture will be on her laying, throat slit, and a bloody hand print dragging away from the cut. >.> gorey.... lol
